Time for the NE Georgia swap meet and car show this Sunday, at Lanier National Speedway in Braselton!

Last month, Dog Patch and his Lovely corrupted my innocent 15 year old niece with Mrs. Patch's Ford Falcon--my niece is now a Ford girl! The family is heartbroken.

Hot cars, lots of parts and corruption of youth! A good time to be had by all.

I-85 to Exit 129/Hwy 53
WEST on Hwy 53, 4.5 miles to Lanier Speedway

Vendor set-up 7am
Spectators in at 8:30

Car show registration 10am
People's Choice awards at 2:30
Top 5, Best of Show, Best Ford, Best Mopar, Best GM, Best Truck, Brad's Pick

$50 gas car drawings for Vendors, $100 cash award for the car club with most participation (5 vehicle's registered, minimum).

I can't get there 'till noonish (and, of course, miss all the bargains), so SLEEP IN so I can get first crack at your stuff!!!

 

My final exam is tomorrow, so Friday and Saturday are on the schedule.
Come on...Noon?..well, maybe once or twice.
I'm cleaning out all my SBC stuff, some of the Nailhead stuff and all of my 60's/70's tin.
All you closet Mustang and Camaro/Chevelle guys are in for some decent deals.
TH-350's, some big block Pontiac stuff, if it's not custom or hot rod related, it's going
If I'm in a funny mood on Saturday, the 30 Buick might get loaded...with the ***le from 1929.
Too many projects, not enough time or money.

I should be moving into the new digs next week, so this comes at a good time.
I'd rather unload it into your truck than the rafters of the shop.

How is the vendor area for this meet? Lots of parts? Lots of vendors? I live in Marietta so its a bit of a hike from my place. I don't have any HAMB friendly cars as my 66 Barracuda is the only road-worthy car I have right now. But, I am kind of in the mode of starting to gather parts for my Model A (mostly suspension parts at this point). So, if you guys think I'll be able to find anything, I may hop in the truck and head that way.

I wouldn't say the swap meet would be worth the haul from MS- but Dixie Fried is coming Labor day - you should look into that one. Do a search - there is a dicie fried thread with a link to the webiste.

It's three bucks to get in. Get in your hot rod and take a Sunday drive. For three bucks and seat time in a vintage car, you can't really go wrong, can you?

We'll see - I was actually able to stop the rear tires from spinning in gear with my foot operated pedal last night. I need to get a better bleed on the system though. Then I have to run some brake light wires. By Sunday - we should be good.

 

I'll betcha a cold one on J-Man.
