    BTT Thanks to Dennis Gomes for this Video of a club he was in The Rod and Wheelers in 1956 and a short video of Little Bonniville Drag Strip .Thanks Pop's

    Thanks Tony and Dennis. That brings back some memories.

    Is that Maccarella's chopped Plymouth 4 dr on the Drag Strip?

    I watched Jeffries stripe the purple dragster "The Alky Wagon" in '56 or '57.

    And the music, "WPLJ" was recorded by 4 guys ( The Four Deuces) who worked at a car wash in Salinas. It was one of the first records I ever bought. My parents hated it.

    Glad I stayed up late tonight. Great stuff.

    That's one of the coolest videos that i have ever seen. I love that it sort of captures a whole bunch of aspects of Hot Rodding during that time. Classic!

  10. Traveling through time. Lots of 56 chevys and a brand new Cadillac eldorado brougham among the cool rods. Wow. thanks for the video.

    in the one shot before it was customized,and was Jack Stanleys 56 in the shot
    at the drags?Tell your ol man I said (ah ba`fungue) lol..............
