of a few years back a buddy of mine build a fairly large go kart in sculpture cl*** at community college. Im really wanting to do a 32 coupe (or any 30's), but now live an apt complex that hate when I do oil changes, not to mention thats a lot of tools to have to buy. I looked at doing an automotive cl***, but only one school up here does it and they dont even have a welder or allow "projects".

so building a car in sculpture cl***, good idea? du-it?

I like the way you think. I might personally do something smaller and more manageable. Perhaps clay or wire sculpture with an automotive theme.

i just figured Id create some theme related to the traditional hotrod, and basic car designs. do body, motor, suspension, and just not do any plumbing or wiring to keep it a "sculpture"

You should talk to the prof to see what they will allow. My profs in college wouldn't have let me do anything like that, which really pissed me off when I look at some of the **** other people got to do.... my ideas weren't 'artsy' enough and too crafty.

One option you could look into is taking a metal/jewelry making cl***. They were able to make 'functional' things in that cl***.

When I lived in St.Louis, the apartments allowed one car only. I used to work on the manager's car, she let me have 5 spots in the lot.
