OT: how do I change a png file to a jpeg?

I scanned a 1949 chevy magazine ad then edited it. for whatever reason it ended up being a png file rather than jpeg. when I click on it to open it it opens in my editing software. (Microsoft Digital Image Pro)

how do I change it back to jpeg? I was going to post in the art show

Here's a windows program that you can use to convert to many different file types.

oops, i know see that 'some features are limited'... it's worth a try though.

 

Just open it in your editing program.. go File -> Save As and select Jpeg instead of PNG as the filetype.. and save it. Pretty straightforward.
