Been here NSRA Nat's for two days now. easy the spot the street rodders in their straw hats, flowered hawian shirts riding their mobility carts.

I fully understand that some people truly need the carts and I am in no way making or poking fun at those people. The problem is there are 100's of these things for rent so every Mr. and Mrs. Tom, **** or Harry is on one. Most are rude as hell as well.

There certainly appears to be more people riding around on them that don't need them than people who do need them.

Swap meet is off on vendors at least 40%. Car count is down. Friday is usually a good day for indoor vendors. The spectator count looked down inside today as well.

Actually i don't mind that the crowd count is down, means less mobility carts accidents! The swap meet area was closing down when i went through. I did see a truck i was interested in, but was prices an outragous amount for not being complete.

But all in all, the only think i am dissappointed in, where is the blonde valvoline girl from last year? :(. I was hoping to get my picture with her again this year.

Even people that think they are non-conformists conform in some ways.

Great photos. Can't wait for Sunday's pics..

A little off topic, but if you see those carts again could you get the cart and manufacturer's name and pm it to me. I'm handicapped and cannot attend a lot of neat functions because I cannot stand up too long or walk very far.
    Thanks,
    Mike

Actually they are at the show to rent, $50 a day i think! I understand there is a lot that do need them and we are not poking fun of them. But there are several there that didn't.

I guess those with the Hawaiian shirts and straw hats are offended easily. No dress code, it is just that the Hawaiian shirts clash with a good tattoo. :)

    Thanks for the pictures.

Are you saying you don't like DONKS???? Well I will put you on the people not to add to my H.A.M.B. friends list list!!

I think they look cool! plus it's not "donk-ish" because donks are lifted...this of course is lowered.....And a donk is a '72-76 Impala or Caprice....not a Ford Woody...Also a donk is just a term for the type of car...not the style it was customized in...I believe the correct term you would be looking for in referance to big wheels and lifted cars is "Hi-Riser" or "Sky S****er"....for that car though...I believe it would be called a "Street Rod"...can you say "ssstttrrrreeeeeeeeettt rrroooddd"??

That car looks kick ***...back to your regular Street Rod Nats programing....

Yeah, this has been going on for 3 years now, you think someone would say something and they would get the hint.

I am back home, but really tired, and my foot-sie are blistered. Tomorrow i will repost some more pics. I got over 200 pics to sort through. Only one i didn't get because my buddy would not let me, was the female at Barry Grant's booth. GEEEEZ! Later!

I hate the wheels too. And I get what he means by donkish. I also think he knows it's not lifted or an Impala.
