hey i found a 53 hudson complete for 300 what do u think well no motor or ****** but all the body lights chrome everything workin on gettin some pix
Gotta be worth that for s****. SAVE IT! Lotsa Hudson info here http://www.cl***iccar.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=13
look at a picture of a 1948 Hudson, then look at a picture of a 1948 Mercury, then tell me who had the sleeker body profile? the "stepdown" Hudsons were chopped and channeled from the factory,so drop in an engine, lower the suspension, and enjoy
Check the rear half of the frame out, they rust there. But was it me I'd be posting about what I scored for $300 - motors you can get.
buy a hudson to make it look like a merc? uh no. buy a hudson so you can chuckle at the poor merc owners.
If it's a 4-door it's well worth the three bills...if it's a coupe, it's worth twice or three times the money, if it's a convertable, it aint worth nuttin, so I'll do you a favor and come take it off your hands.
it is a 2 door hard top no motor and trans or steering colom but everything else is there all the window r there the upolstry is **** but all the seat frames r good the door panels r there all the chrome on the doors all the trim on the outside the grill is perfect all the lights i havnt looked underneth it to see the frame but it is a real decent car the only thing is no ***le but i think i can work around it
I think the word you are looking for is "are". And try just a little punctuation, makes things easier to read.
i would guess that a hardtop is a prety rare car. just in s**** the car is worth at least twice what you can get it for...id say it's pretty much a no brainer.
No, a Merc is built to resemble a Hudson. The Hudson already has a low roofline, short windows, and all the goodies you have to chop the **** out of a Merc to achieve! Besides, the Stepdown Hudson you are looking at, debuted in the 1948 model year. The desired Merc (a Hudson almost-look-a-like!) came out in 1949. Mercury was the copycat. Oh, BTW, BUILD the Hudson!!! Hey, gottalotta****, where are you at in Oklahoma??? PM me! I am a fellow Hudson owner - with some '53 parts!
And on the eighth day the Lord sayeth "Thou shalt punctuate and ease thy bretheren's suffering for his vision was not developed for iPod. Nay, it was created to spy rare flathead parts from two isles away."
Better leave it a Hudson... those cars are gorgeous the way they are. But customized they look even better. Just dont try to make it something its not. Here is one I digitally customized some time ago... This car already was a mild custom when.... Then I chopped the top, created curved B-pillars, smoothed body and grille and a few other minor mods...
this is what i did with my 4 door hudson. Chopped 3 in in front ? in the back. stretched the front doors 11.5 in to make it a two door. sorry for posting so many pics, just thought it might help you decide.... GET it, or tell me where it is and i'll get it. -Alejandro
Hollywood Hardtops are one of the most desired Hudsons after the converts. Even if you don't want to build it yourself, you will have no problem finding a hard core Hudson guy to take it off your hands at a nice profit. This custom Hollywood was at the HET National in Detroit about 20 years ago. It was probably built in the 60's.
I have a 68 mustang you can have if you try to make it look like a Camaro. Dont be imbarrased it is a Hudson. Hudsons are the **** man!
