A friend of mine has a Rascal brand scooter, independent front suspension, convertible(if you want to spend the bucks) to either trike or 4-wheel configuration, steers easily, manuevers well, rides good, long drive time on a charge, sorta oldtimey front fender configuration. Only complaint has been ammeter never worked and neither did the replacement the service guy installed.

Wow...donkish..then to lowrider...2 different extremes...not being an *** but wouldn't if they were "lowrider wheels" wouldn't they be like 13 or 14 inch Daytons or Starwires? Not 18" or 20" inch Daytons....

I understand the whole "donkish" deal...but it just pisses me off when people use the wrong terms for things, being a "Donk" owner......It's kind of like calling some ones trad. model A or something a rat rod...refering to everything with big wheels as donkish is the same thing.

I personally think it looks rather sh*tty but that is my opinion. If it would have been a set of 20" Coddington wheels everyone would have jumped all over it. I do not think rubberbands should be used as tires.

Take a trip to L.A. - you'll see plenty of lowriders running this kind of big diameter wire wheels. Many of them are made in L.A. too. There was an exhibition of lowriders at the Petersen Museum not too long ago and these kind of wheels were well represented.

Weasel....did not know about the larger diameter wheels on the lowriders, just figured all of 'em had 13s or 14s ya know? learn somethin' new everyday...

harleybraydin....Another point maybe if they were 20" Coddingtons that pic wouldn't be here....again opinions are like ***holes everyone has one...or two... The "rubber bands" on my '74 Impala and '73 Olds 98 seem to work just as good as the plys on my '30 Poncho...

Now I ask you, would that old fart look better in cuffed Levi's with a big old buckle on the belt, engineer boots, a black t shirt with lucky strikes rolled in the sleeve and a DA haircut? At least he has the good sense to dress
appropriately for the weather, even if it is a bit "Boydish". AND he seems to be minding his own business, are you? Maybe he knows what you think, and doesn't care, he's an individual, a true rebel, MAN THAT DUDE IS COOL!

Wow...did somebody hit a nerve? Take deep breaths, in through the nose, out through the mouth. If you want to enlighten us to proper terminology, cool, but coping an at***ude don't really help your cause when it's fairly obvious your talking to guys who don't care for that type of vehicle. This is a forum for traditional hot rods and customs, I'd expect that most of it members would have limited knowledge as to ALL other types of cars. I'd imagine you will find similar missuse of terms on forums for other cars. I learned a long time ago you can't educate the world. When I was a kid, every muscle car guy called anything older than 1962 a street rod, and every mini-trucker thought any old car was the "ZZ Top car". Quitely chuckle to yourself and let it go.

    Thanks for all the pics.

When I was a little **** everything was Hot Wheels even if it wasn't small enough to hold in my hand...Dad had a Highboy F250 with a 460 and it was lifted....That was dad's "Hot Wheels Truck"....Lets go for a ride in the Hot Wheels Truck dad!!! I get what your sayin', it's just you know how it is when your into somethin' and there's people kind of bashing it or using it as joke, you get offended....I understand some people think big wheels and Hi-Risers look goofy or stupid...oh well, can't please 'em all.

...my 02 cents...you need to apologize to the original poster for hijacking his thread with your stupid rant about a stupid type of car that no one here gives a **** about.

...then you need to pull your big boy pants up and grow a thicker skin.

It's a 292 Y block Ford with a custom engine cover---not. Just maybe it's a SOHC 427 Ford. Yeah, probably mucho bucks, but sooo cool!! Edit--oops, didn't see droplord49 post. Actually it's a single overhead cam but who's counting!

He may have a lot of money, but if he was smart enough to get his hands on one of those, I'd say his brains are at least equal to his bankroll. :)
And yes, the Vaseline girl is very pretty, now let's see more cars.
