She doesn't need to stick her whole torso out the window--just the important parts! That's all anybody would be looking at anyway.

I managed to make it up there as well. Got to meet a few of you (it was my pleasure) The heat started getting to me, though. I spent all day in it yesterday and I was being a wuss today so I left out around 11 or so when I felt my shirt starting to get wet.

Enjoyed meeting you Josh (I was the big lug in the white t-shirt that followed you and Toby around a bit). And you did a great job on that 32. That thing sounded GREAT ripping down the highway. Loved the whine of the supercharger and the exhaust note - too cool!

In the background, I see a 32 body in the back of a pickup. I'd say someone got themselves a new toy. Congrats!

Thanks all of you for coming out! I didn't get to hang out with you in the group much, but I really do enjoy having all of you there. Boy Wonder and Suzi enjoyed their time under the white top.

Thanks for the tools Bret! Andrew was going to throw the shock away, but I decided to keep it as a prize/reminder. I was so happy that the driveline vibrations were all gone. At 48 mph, they're back, and back in a BIG way. Andrew said "It's vibrating again!" And then he heard why. Again.

We're driving to the gas station this morning, hit a dip in the road, and something goes "BANG!" and it sounds like I hit something. But I don't see anything in the rear view, the truck isn't handling different, and nothing sounds like it's dragging or coming apart.
Get to the gas station, I'm cleaning the windows on Suzi's Dakota, and glance over and see the rear shock on the Suburban sticking straight down because the lower bolt fell out (Totally my fault...that was my side when we put the rear end in).
I say to Boy Wonder "I'll be damned--look at that; that's probably what that noise was." He says "Oh yeah. I meant to tell you about that yesterday. I saw it hanging down when I came home from my friend's."
Thanks buddy. I could have fixed it yesterday. Today it costs me money.
Fortunately the top shock mount is built like a '60s truck, because it peeled that shock back, bent the rod and caved in the top tube portion of the shock, jamming it into the shock mount.
That's why he got to run the tools and pull it out at the show.
I gotta say though, he crawled under there, sized it up and asked for an 11/16 wrench. And the damn nut and bolt WAS 11/16! Not 5/8, not 3/4. I was shocked. And he had it out in less than 5 minutes.

Yeah, if he was trained so damn well, he wouldn't have HAD to pull a shock in the gr***!
