Did you do the bodywork and paint yourself?

Steve is pretty impressive with his paint and body skills. He painted the black Buick, with ghost flames, in his driveway! It was sooooo slick lookin!

    Your coupe looks GREAT!!!
I'm glad to see an "A" with a great paintjob...it's a shame to spend the time it takes to get a body straight just to cover it with DP90. Well, I guess not everyone spends the time....
Can't wait to see the car completed, keep up the fine work! [IMG]

    DAN..long time bro..
I figure i can make up for my bad taste in tires/wheels by having you distract them with some awesome, original Barnett striping!!
    Dan, Dan, the striping man!!!!!!

For those curious about the before/after shots, heres a couple showing the state the body was in when we started to chop it, like i said the previous owner cut 4 inches and never cross-braced it or stabilized it when he did so it was a pain to redo, and I of course had to take a couple more out. heres the pics....

heres the frame chassis after painting and everything put back...the exhaust is one piece, all mandrel bent from the collectors back so it was the last thing to remove and had to be the first thing to install...

Awesome! Nothing like a little color to get you motivated for the "home stretch". Thanks for not making another flat black model A. I should know, I had one.

  22. Looks great Steve, not that I thought it would turn out any different. What happened to the "outdoors" paint booth like the 59 had??? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Wish I was in SA to see it in person, I bet that color looks awesome in the sunlight.

KUSTOM55..the paint is PPG Copperhead Metallic

Hey, Terry...I would probably have been better off shooting it in my old driveway, that damn plumbing shop has more crap in it..cement dust...grinding dust..bondo dust..oh well just a little more wet sanding and I'm done!!
