Damn it's Hot!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Anchorboy46, Aug 4, 2008.

  1. One thing about Texas weather and Texas bugs it keeps the real texas people here and the non-hackers out. Just gotta get used to the heat and humidity as far as bugs, mosquitos rarely get to me, but I've been here my whole life......

Damn right it's HOT - it's Texas and August. Not sure my timing on yanking the rearend out, and back together for MoKan was too good. BUT, I did hang a mister with 5 heads on it, on my garage door framing. It dropped the temp 5-10 degrees, and with a couple fans, makes it fairly tollerable. I don't have any bare metal around, so it's not an issue. I think Lowes and Home Depot carry them.

I wish I took a picture before I sold the car. I got ahold of one of those electronic label makers and made my self some labels with the same font as my dash dials. On my A/C controls I had "Hot" "Hell" and "Texas" as the selections.

It's fucking hot here in Florida, I decided to take the 34 Ford out for a spin, bloody miserable, it's like a damn oven in there, if you ain't moving you ain't getting no airflow, and that mail slot windows don't help none.
Riding my bike on Sunday was a tad bit cooler but again when you stop at a light the heat from the earth's core could melt your nuts.

Hotter than a well diggers ass....uh, well...it's hot. Last night with the west wind blowing, not bad, I actually sanded and primed a fender on the A but, today, it's wind out of the south east and humidity like 97%. So far we've been lucky in Corpus...Dolly to the south two weeks ago and now Eddie to the east. So what's new..it's the Texas coast...go to the beach and watch the T and A.:D

It's been in the mid-high ninetys here. Plenty hot, but the high humidity is the killer. The humidity is so high that you don't have to worry about drinking enough water to stay hydrated, every breath you take has a pint of water in it.

Aw, come on guys, it's just August in Texas. It will start to cool off to nice cool days about December. Then the cold days will hit in mid January and then start to heat back up again in Febuary.
You have got to have a since of humor to deal with a Texas summer.

Well, we've only had three days over 80 so far. The high has been 84. I'm still turning on the heat in my truck on my way to work in the morning.
