It's called a reverse auction- Where you start ridiculously high and come down til you get interest. Seriously I was looking for the Ardun heads and Kinmonts on that roadster... Still can't find them.

The dude probably had these cars built for him, and that's probably what they cost to build.

I think the ads are fine to stay, but I think you have a better chance of finding the Buick Y in your garage then you do selling those cars here. I wonder what that green 32 cost to build, looks like it's mostly brand new stuff. I know Speedway's kit is 50g without drive train.

Nothing special in the drivetrain. Looks like a crate 350, turbo 350 ****** and Ford 9".

    I'm gonna guestimate high..

    32 Roadster body=12,000

    Rolling Ch***is= 12,000

    Drivetrain = 8,000

    Random odds and ends= 10,000

Labor for shop 500 hours at $80 an hour= $40,000

    Hmmm. We're still under $85,000

I think its rude to mention (in posts as this) to others what someone is asking for a car for sale in the Hamb Ads. No matter what the price. Its obvious this fellow is serious. i wish him luck. this post will be deleted soon

Understand that those cars are for sale at Canepa Design. Bruce Canepa was a world cl*** Road Racer who has turned his talents to Pebble Beach quality Hot Rods as well as exotics. Probably not most HAMBers cup of tea but the work is exemplary and on a level with the best there is - Think Don Orosco, Bruce Myers type stuff. Are they too much money? Hell I don't know, depends on who you ask and who's buying, but you can't discount the level of detail and quality.

I think he put the roadster and 3 window in here to make the sedan delivery look like a bargain.

I have a can of Diet Coke on my desk here.
If I want to put an ad in the newspaper to try to sell it for $1,000, thats my business.
****, people pay big bucks for a grilled cheese sandwich with a religious icon on it. Crazy? Not to the buyer or seller.
I had an old battery operated tin childrens novelty bank that I put on Ebay.
It didn't work and I stated that in the ***le. Starting bid was $1.00.
It sold for nearly $700. Its not my business to ask why someone would want to pay that much. I don't care. I had it. He wanted it. He bought it. Done.
My only job was to deposit the money order.
