Time for another update. I was sent home tonite!! Seems Sleeping standing up is not good for you. The boys are hard at work putting the car back togeather.Wiring a plumbing the engine is what is left. The paint came out great. Hot rod Black is unreal. Andy said it reminds him of Ryans car. Have the body on the frame and when I left Scott was putting in the gl***. Not much for words tonite just too tired for anything. The boys will fill you in later. I need sleep. http://s241.photobucket.com/albums/ff118/Hambandy/
that A is perfect the chop and stance look soooooooo good paint came out great on fine looking hotrod guys
Cool..........are you guys going to teach him how to "wet sand"? I have fond memories of wet sanding as a chump kid (aka:free labor) to my pops. Chris Nelson Kansas
Incredible! Who's who in the picture? Nice to put a face to a name, no matter how ugly! Keep up the great work. Love that seat!
See, there's a reason why people have been running black with red accents all these years... It looks DAMN good! Still really impressed with the proportions of this..Look's perfect. Great job to all involved yet again!
Damn, what a great looking car. I would have been grinning like Andy if I was looking forward to driving that car. Keep us posted and keep up the great work.
You can tell we are close and the crew is losing steam...........long nites and for Fitz and Ray they have been turning away work to punch time on this, Bill took a day off and i sneek away from work as much as possible to get the gear ready for our after hour sessions........we are pushing hard to make this happen for Andy and the crew has been dedicated beyond belief...........i am amazed. There is still local talent punching time after hours and talk of this car is getting around. The local paper is doing a full story and will have a slide show and possible video on their site. Local tv news is asking for a story but we made a deal to let the paper have it released first and our word is golden......... Andy is stoked and is living a dream that the HAMB has offered him. I dont think anyother site could make this happen. Tonite we fitted the insert in the grill, bolted on fuel block, mounted lites, added ignition panel added the shifter and adjusted as well as began to get wiring in place......seems like a lot..........but were still looking at Fitzs list and it wont go away....lol Im sure the sleep will help Fitz step back up to the plate tommorrow.......... Regards Leon
Wow guys, absolutely stunning! What is it sprayed with btw-is it Dupont's Hot Rod Black?? The car is looking great, lots of good karma should be working your way Dan
You guys are going to give hot rodders a good name if you keep this up. We've worked hard to project an outlaw image that includes running around terrorizing women and children, running amuck of the law and bathing only when we get married. It's guys like you that will change everything and require us to start using deodorant and soap. Where will it end? Seriously, I can't praise you enough and wish that all of us that sent parts for this project could get together with you and have a big group hug. I can not remember ever seeing a project like this come together and I've seen some very charitable things done for friends and those in need over the 50 years I've been messing with cars. Andy has sure struck a chord here on the HAMB and brought the best to the surface. Keep us posted the goal line is in sight. We'll expect video of the fireup and first drive. Frank
GREAT, good work guys. Glad, my Devil's Woodshop shirt, was worn, by Andy, to paint the car. I'm happy for ya, man.
