Well, a bucket-O-antifreeze and four hours later. She is now home. My wife loves it and will love it more if it fits into the garage. My two year old daughter said "so you are not sad anymore?" My nine month old son wants a bottle.

Cool! It's the Custom model, right? What engine/trans?

My first car was a '58 Custom 300 (different side trim, arm rests on both doors, two sun visors, and a radio) I can't think of what else differentiates it from a regular Custom. Mine had the 223 6-cyl and 3-speed/OD.

What are your plans for it?

Wow, there is one exactly like that in a junkyard near me. Same color and everything. Cool car you have there.

It's a Canadian car and yes this is a Custom 300 with a 223six. Got to fix the rockers and head light bucket.
Thinking of Watson style panel/scallops and some pinstriping.

  10. Best bet is to look through some early '60's little books. I'm pretty sure there was a lens that was a pretty common swap, but I can't think what it was.

I like '58s, everything except the grille/bumper, but the same ideas that work on a '57 will work there, so all you need is the old AMT 3-in-1 kit for inspiration.

I'm thinking of taking out that center bar and put a tube grill in.

Sweet car............I love those... There were two different tail lights for those... I think it was the wagon ones that were shorter than the others..
