Just received a top wood kit for my 1926 Model T sedan project. Very nicely made out of red oak. But it came without instructions or hardware. I guess they expect you to use your old wood as a guide. But my body was ******* when I got it. Anyone have any tips before I break out the drill and saw?
I would call the place you bought it from first..if they made it, they should be able to tell you how it goes togeather..right? if they cant tell you they should offer a different product ..like maybe base ball bats..or wicker baskets.
A shaky start: http://www.fordwood.com/images/tudor26new.jpg But already you can be thankful it's not a '25...llok at THAT illustration!!
My wood kit for my 26 also came without instructions or hardware. You're going to need several clamps to make it work if your car is like mine. If you'll get me your email address I'll take some pictures of mine Wed and send to you.
I did the wood from a kit on my 26 T with no instructions as well. Some of the holes may not line up...bolt the ones that do and drill the rest. You will end up with gaps...just fill them with caulk. Remember that what matters is that the fabric actually does the sealing so as long as everything is smooth and holes are filled that's all that matters. Danny
