so I have been working on a DVD All About The Photography Of George Barris...

I have been going through 1000's of the amazing pictures George shot back in the day and I'm honored that I was asked to do this DVD... And I have spent allot of time trying to figure out a good way to put these pictures in motion.. I could do it in the Computer but I would be spending months scanning pictures and rendering...SOLUTION???? so I built a rig that allows me to give movement to the pictures as I film them with my Camera.. Im able to slide the sheet left and right and up and down. It also gives that raw look that i'm looking for..

Heres a test / teaser I cut to see how it looks.. I couldn't resist to put it up on the HAMB..
    This is just a TEST..

    Enjoy..

  5. I don't know why I pay for Direct TV...all I ever do is watch your stuff and now you can add this one to the list as soon as it hits the streets...really like the style...better than the typical slideshow...mucho kudos

  6. That's a great idea. That pic. of George leaning on the hood with the camera was shot at the Compton drive-in. It must of been a favorite spot of his. Many of his cars were shot there.

People can say what they want about him...he is part of History and did a fine
    job of do***enting it...

This will be Volume 1 in a series we hope to do.. it will cover Hot Rods, Customs and Cycles... The next Volume wil be Pin Ups witch as you know George is good with the
ladies... after that we are talking about doing the tech Books on DVD using the original
    pictures as well...

Its really some amazing stuff I get to play with...

This is just a grain of sand in the beach of Barris photography :D

  23. I immediately thought, bad idea with the rig you described, but it looks awesome.

It would be awesome to get George to narrate some pictures, and have him tell some, stories about those cars.

  24. Evel, very cool, you just sold another DVD (when it comes out)!

  25. +1 on this idea!

    Holy ****.... that's exciting.

I really like how it moves around an focuses, instead of just fading from one scanned picture to the next.

Wow! pretty cool! You might want to hold back while eating when doing this, I think I saw a chunk of meat hit one of the pics! What's this process called Evel-O-Matic Focus™?!
