Hello all, Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Marc and I'm currently living in Orange County, CA. I work in the auto industry as a designer. Used to be with the big 3 in Detroit (just shy of 5 years + 4 years in school there) but now work for the foreigners. Yeah it's not as cool, but it pays my bills better, and I've got a secure job during these iffey times. This is my first post, even though I've known about this board for what seems like a few years. One of my buddies (Sean) convinced me to join as he and I are completely hot rod obsessed. Currently I've got a 1971 Chevy Camaro, an old '71 VW bug that I'm turning into a Baja, and a sorta-fancy european car. The Camaro is getting some work done on it by a "pro" now, but I built the 468c.i. rat motor in it myself, and had originally bought it as a fixer upper. The Baja was given to me by a friend who's moved abroad for a few years before being able to finish putting it together... it'll be my "high mileage car". Getting to the point, I'm hoping to buy an old original body shell in the next year or so to get a "traditional as defined by the read first post" hot rod started. I'm planning on doing the whole thing with the help of a few friends. I'm hoping that this forum will be as helpful to me as some of the other car forums I've joined have been in the past. That's it, that's all... Marc
hope your mom's okay dude, of course I know who you are... nice (bleep) truck dude! Do you still have that old bike you were fixin' up? you should post some pics on your profile. Any other GMers on here?
