I need new front springs for my 56 Chieftain. No luck so far. I found one place I can special order them for delivery in 30 days.

Any ideas where to get a set or has anyone else used springs from something else?

Front ends are different so I wasn't sure about the springs. I would have thought that if they were the same that everyone would stock them.

Thanks for the offeer if anyone notes that I could use them. (Shorter would be great)

  4. Try either Kanter or Eaton Spring.Don't have their contact info but they both have websites.

I had springs made for my 57 Starchief. To be exact I had 3 inch drop springs made. All I did was call the spring shop, told em what I had and what I wanted, paid for it over the phone and they showed up 4 days later. I have no clue how the car looks or rides with them in, car and body are seperated at this time. If I knew I would sell you my old ones. The place I got mine from is called Kremer Spring, in Inver Grove Heights, MN. They have a web page, just google it. Good Luck

I just installed new springs on my 54 Chieftain from Jamco. Took about 10 days and they are perfect, plus you get a HAMB discount since they are an alliance vendor.
Really good customer service. You can choose stock height-to something like a 4 inch drop

Espo is a great place to get springs from. They suppied all the springs for my 55 Buick. Nice people and good prices. They even sell lowering springs.
