Last week I nabbed a deal in an intake manifold down in Indianapolis. Since I've been off work anyway, I decided to make a day of it and drive down and pick it up in person since I didn't know the guy from a toad stool. Near the mile marker 68 on I-69 I notice a motorcycle in the fast lane. Now I've been running with the cruise and air on in my civilian car at 71-72 MPH. P***ed almost nobody for dozens of miles and traffic is light. About 5 miles later the bike is close enough to me for me to see that it's a Indiana State Police bike. Zip, right in behind me, lights come on and I pull over. This guy writes me up for failure to use my signal in a lane change. The whole friggin world has p***ed me this morning running 75-80 MPH and I get nabbed for failure to signal. 375 mile round trip if I want to fight this dang thing. Law enforcement then wonders why they are hated sometimes. Mark Indiana up on my list to despise. I travel on this road 4 to 6 times per year. WITH MY MICHIGAN LICENSE PLATE. I haven't had a ticket in 23 years.

That cop is just angry because his daddy didn't love him and momma didn't want him. Poor little porker.

My gf works at a local University (state) here in NJ and the cops are the same way. There are actual cops on campus, not just security. And being they are in a confined area of like 2 square miles, they get cabin fever. Shes a very attractive super pleasant young lady and has been pulled over like FIVE times on the campus in which she is employed. Out of the car, questioned, friggin 3 tickets once for making a turn down a BARELY signed street saying "no cars" due to construction. Like 4 points. Had to fight it, wasted work time and due to it being a state school, tax payer dollars.

Its the local joke around here, I dont know anyone who hasnt been pulled over by them. Hell, Ive dropped her off like 5 times and Ive gotten pulled over twice. Unfortunately its going to take those awful cops to step over the line once with a kid who knows their rights and a good attorney for things to change.

  8. What pisses me off out here is that you rarely, if ever, see a cop signal a lane change, or a turn signal when turning, they roll through stop signs and sometimes blow a redlight as if proceeding to an emergency and then simply slow down after running the light...I got pulled over one night for a taillight being burnt out...I was checking out a new car purchase for my wife after hours...it was about 11 o'clock and I was on the way home from a late night of work...the cop asked what I was doing and he suggested that "I just run along home after he was done writing the fixit ticket"...I kinda laughed and said 'What is martial law in effect?' and he told me not to be a f**king smart*** at that point I took down his name and called his supervisor the next morning and complained...I am sure it fell on deaf ears but I hold out hope that he got reamed for being a ****...

You can dispute the ticket in writing and not have to appear in person, it'd be a lot more productive than griping about it here.

Government is just the biggest GANG in town and the cops are their hit men and "insurance" collectors.

I figure he saw the MI tag and ***umed you were going somewhere else for a job and had money. If you were going north, he'd have felt sorry for you and let you off.

I was paced by an Indiana Sheriff on I-69 just north of Ft. Wayne for almost 25 miles before I got pulled over. I went through 3 construction zones and the did the speed limit to the T, while I was p***ed by umpteen cars and trucks speeding through the construction zone. Guy said he pulled me over for window tint but my windows were down, then said he pulled me over because my p***enger didn't have his seat belt on (********, I watched him put it on before we left the Cracker Barrel parking lot in Auburn), consented to a vehicle search, then was written up for speeding. ****ing Indiana is getting worse than the Ohio Gestapo.
