All are invited to meet-up at Bob's Big Boy, this Saturday, August 16th at the Toluca Lake (Burbank). Starting at 5PM there will be about 14 spots reserved under the canopy area, for car hop service. The new owner of the Harveys Broiler in Downey (which will now be a Bob's Big Boy) will be there and it would be great for him to see that drive-in service with car hops is still a popular attraction and would be welcomed at the new Bobs location in Downey. He needs to be convinced that car-hop service is still something that will add value to his project. So....if you are needing a good burger, fries and a shake, make it out this Saturday for a fun evening of good food and car-hop service!!! Lets show 'em that we need more drive-in's in SoCal! It went good guys, Thanx to all that showed up. Lots of great people to go with great cars. It was a nice and Jim (He spent 3 hrs there) did see that a drive in/car hops could be good. A vintage bike club showed up with min 50 cool bikes. It was heaven. I unfortunately didnot bring a camera, others did,so I will see if I can have them fwrd'd to someone so that they can be posted, Thanx again HAMB friends, You guys are the greatest!
