Leaving 6.30 am Saturday from the Chevron in Troutdale, just off I 84....6 Hot Rodders in 3 Hot Rods....Nailhead powered 31 Hiboy, Chev powered 29 on Deuce Rails, and my 6 Cyl Chevy powered Chopped 31 Tudor.....Wendover on Sunday....

 

That would be cool to hook up. You cant miss the easter egg blue Ford.
Look for a lifted red 57 Chevy 4x4 Flatbed with a trailer hooked up to it.
That is one of my friends.

We are most likely going to be at a drinking establishment. Not a hotel. I'll just sleep on the ground in the bedroll.

 

I'll be there Monday through Thursday. Hope to meet lots of you. It's gonna be huge this year!

We are leaving tomorrow morning and driving straight through from Indy. We should see you all on the salt some time Sunday.

My Dad and several other Tucson guys are leaving tonight after work, arriving in Wendover on Sunday. They are driving three hot rods, and their route includes driving two-lane roads as much as possible.

So all you guys going to the salt, but how many are driving the Rod on the salt?? I saw so many cars parked at the end of the road that would not even think about going on it.

Why would you drive all the way there and then not go out on it and have some fun driving around and seing the sights out there while cruising the hot rod.

We will all be there sunday around noon or earlier. Yes I drive my cars on the salt.

It does wash off quite easy.

 

We are heading out today, Can't wait to see the salt.

 

I am in Evanston WY, Wendover tomorrow afternoon.

I've been in Blanding, UT at Sum's (1FATGMC) since Monday. Hooley and Wzjunk got in yesterday. We've done a little canyon crawling down here and will be off to Wendover tomorrow morning. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

A couple of fellows from Pennsylvania just came through town in a '29 Tub Powered by a '49 Cadillac. It said "BONNEVILLE or stay on the porch" on the back. I gave them the "Nickle Tour" of the RODGE MAHAL. Bill and Barney were their names but I didn't get HAMB names. I'll see 'em Sunday up there. Wayno

Got the trailer loaded @ 2am Thursday, left @8. Currently relaxing in Oglalla, NE and will be in SLC Saturday mid-afternoon. Damn rental duallie gets lousy mileage at 75 pulling the trailer (hauling extra lead!) so I've gotta stop every 300 miles. vic

We just got here. Flew the Mooney out from KC. first year.. should be an experience. .

 

The Tub from Western PA made it to Provo and will be seeing SALT tomorrow.Thanks to Elmo Rodge for the hospitality.
