    5spoke,
Gary told me he cut this windshield just before he sold his Rivi. I wasn't sure if he meant he actually did it or knew someone locally who could. Might want to give him a call.

As I recall, all the recent HAMB posts on cutting talk about how to do it yourself, not many referrals to someone in the bay area that does it for a living.

FWIW, my glass guy had to shorten my back glass on my 51 Chevy by only 1/16" to get it to fit in the new seal. He did it by sanding the edge, and just to take that 1/16" off it took him forever. So, sanding seems like it is a long process.

[/ QUOTE ]Ground down a back glass?? That's a neat trick-I've never heard of anyone succesfully modifying tempered glass.

    from Benton Ms.

A pressure tank blaster with a small nozzle and some masking material from the local monument shop works great. Use the masking to lay out the shape you want and blast away.

    Oh man, I miss-typed! [IMG]

I meant sanded, sorry! [IMG] [IMG]

He sanded the edge of the glass with a palm sander.
