    After enjoying many of the threads with photos of the early days, I thought it only fair to try and return the favor. I have a couple dozen photos which I think the regulars will appreciate.

    Being new to this, it may take a while to get them all posted. In the meantime, enjoy the following shots of Bob Rufi's streamliner after the crash. He sold it to my uncle Charles Beck, and my father George Beck.

    In a nutshell, my dad's father was a building contractor, and Bob worked for him, and with my uncle and my dad. My dad was at Muroc when Bob crashed. He used to describe how someone scooped the mud out of Bob's mouth so he could breathe.

    Thanks for sharing some cl***ic shots, I've always appreciated the old cigar racers.

    Welcome! Nice to see some real hotrod history. Don't see many claw-hammers taken to the tops of cars anymore... :)
