Dude, there is no way I'm doubting on your project, it's just what my UN-EXPERT **** saw that sang out to me!! My buddies are going this year, wish I could be one of 'em....
very nice project, going to be wicked. estimated speed your hoping/trying/expecting to get out of it?
Very, very cool project...I can't believe the progress on this and how awesome the design is working out. Thanks for the update!
I love it. My Dad had one up until a year or so ago. The thing was awesome! Here is a pic from 2005, the last time I got to go to Bonneville. Also the last time he had the car there. We had a great time. One of the highlights of the trip was Alex Xydias coming up to check the car out!
Beautiful! That is going to be fun to finish weld -- hope you have a jig or way to nail it down! How tall is the driver? Excellent work!
Here's some shots we took for the Rod 'n Race web site before the tank was shipped out to Kris. Note the difference, this one has the flat bottom like the SoCal tank. We developed this as an option several years after Bob's body was built.
My Dad never fails to impress me when he builds something, and the tank was no exception. I hope to be the builder he is someday. He sold it to a guy out of Texas I believe. He's back to street cars now, 49 Ford coupe and a 25 T coupe.
Great construction photos, very impressive. I have a body from Jack Kelly that I hope to get started on as soon as I finish a '36 Roadster. Keep us updated with photos.
Now THATS impressive! VERY nice work..i read about the air shifter line's back a way's in the thread, but what exactly is the transmission used? I don't know much about the building of one of these...all i know about em is i really like em! Thanks for posting the pics! Tony
