First post flathead 32 roadster project

    Nice car if your into that sort of thing.:rolleyes: Seriously, I'll bet your dad didn't think he got that big a deal when he bought it. It just shows the old saying "you never pay too much for a '32 but you can buy too soon". In his case he could have bought it in 1940 and it still would have been a deal.:)

    Welcome. His dad has some history. Wish mine had some stuff like that!

    Well, my dad had the sheep, and the sheep shed, but no 32 roadster,that came later in the form of real 3 window. You have a great looking project, & are a very lucky guy
     
  5. A late thursday night in the shed removing head studs from
    the flathead. The centre stud broke off flush with the head
    so we then proceeded to remove the rest 4 hours later down to
    one. The stud had corroded solid to the head so we then proceeded with some steady drilling and got there in the end.
    The flathead was built up about 25 years ago and was left to sit
    with a gut full of water, so with a bit more work she sould be
    all right.

    Interesting relief, was this done by your dad.
    Show us more of the insides of the motor when you get a chance.

    Really nice 32.

  8. I weld nuts to the studs and spun out most, then a friend worked the centre
    stud while i grabed some photos. here are a few shots of the intake ports, bores & intake i'm running. cheers

  10. Stripped the roadster down to cut up the rear crossmember
    and start painting parts up.

  14. WELL THE FRAME MODS ARE JUST ABOUT DONE, I'LL POST SOME PICS THIS WEEK OF THE FRONT CROSS MEMBER BUT FOR NOW HERE ARE A FEW SHOTS OF ME AND MY MATE PAUL CUTTING 3" OUT OF THE REAR. WITH A FEW PIE CUTS WE GOT IT CLOSE TO A NEAT FIT! IN THE END ONLY HAVING TO AD TWO PIECES TO THE FRONT SIDE.
