    Hey

looking for feed back from people who hae put straight 6's in 30's ch***is

Finally got my side engine mounts, rubber mounts, and ch***is mounts. parts are going into my 32 chevy. The ch***is [ shape is 1/8" thick as well as the boxed plating. The engine mounts are 3/16-1/4 thick just eyed em up.
on one side the engine mount bolts on with no problem but on the other it looks like i need a one inch or so coller on the top theaded hole on the block.
I called the co. and they said some chevy straight sixes have a recessed mounting area . I'll try to get a pic. Wanding if any one knows exaclty how long of a coller to use and if i should make it from pipe or look in Lowes

I am afraid that the ch***is mount for the engine is going to conflick with the steering box in which i made to fit in the exact area in which the original box sat. We will see.

Im going out to purchase a Mustang Radiator. I think they are 130 and are Lifetime Warratee?

I still need that and a cooling fan and pulley before i can set everything in
does any one know where i can find those from other cars what is compatable. Noticed that the mounting area has 8 threaded holes. so im ***uming theres two different 4 bolt fan sizes that will fit.

  2. You shouldn't need a spacer. Are you sure you have the correct motor mount? The left and right are nearly identical if memory serves me. I have a set at home I'll check this evening. Those engines used a 4 blade fan but the water pump was used on other engines so that accounts for 2 bolt patterns.

  4. That's a different motor mount than the one I used. What application were they for? I used 72' Nova mounts.

You've got a plate mounted to the lower two bolts, so get out the tapemeasure and see what the distance from the plate to the block is. That's how long the stanoff needs to be.
Use a piece of 1" diameter round bar and drill a hole in it...

Most aftermarket fans have slotted holes. Those that don't will work with one pattern of the other. As long as the center hole is the right diameter it doesn't matter anyway, as the bolts aren't what centers the fan blade.
