    Ah!

We just did a get together a few weeks ago around the corner at the VA Hospital. You're actually only a few minutes from the West Alabama Ice House and just about ten minutes south or so from the Darkhorse.

Saturday nights are up in the air. I can't think of any "events" off hand.

There is a large car show every Saturday night at the corner of Spring Cypress and Champions Forest Drive on the northwest side of town. (Take 249 north and hang a right on Spring Cypress.) They have a good mix of muscle cars and hot rods and usually have anywhere from 200-400 cars depending on the humidity.

Other than that....the Continental Club has Jessie Dayton playing on Saturday night and that's probably where we (wife and I) will be.

Not really sure of anything else going on until the First Sunday down at the Darkhorse.

Have Kemah Cruise every Saturday night. Good selection of cars from mega buck show cars to rat rods and even the odd dragster.

Well after 13 hours in the van with only a bad battery battery and a loose plug wire along the way we are officially here and moved in. I have been hauling furniture from ikea to the new place like crazy I am going to try and make that cruise in saturday night just to get out

  20. Welcome to your new home. I'm pretty busy, but if you need anything let me know and I'd be glad to give a hand. Dark Horse Tavern first Sunday and the Burnout on the 20th are a must for next month. Looking forward to meeting you.

I'll probably head over to this show also.

Acrochicken, what line of work/school are you in. I live in Rice-Military, which is not far at all from you.

PS the cruze you are plannin' on going to is a good long way from the Med-Center, but the Continental Club is between the Med Center and Downtown, which you will learn is not far at all.

Hey, good luck in Houston. I just moved away from there. The HAMB folks around there are great people. I echo what's already been said... Make sure you go to the event 1st Sunday every month at the Dark Horse and make plans for the Lonestar Roundup in April.

  26. I didn't know you were moving. No wonder I haven't seen you around.

I am a automotive photographer, but I am probably going to take on a second job for a couple of years while the wife gets her doctorate. I had been a automotive service writer for over 10 years before I started doing the magazine/automotive art thing.
