Found a Lincoln (think its a mordoor sport "baby" Lincoln?) in town yesterday, and it got me thinking hard!

To get her on the road quick, what donor frame would fit under it (***uming it is a baby Lincoln)?

Help quick before it gets gone!

It would seem that fixing what's already there would be a quicker way to get it on the road than changing the frame.

Just go down to your local speed shop and buy the book "Every single body/frame swap imaginable" - it's by Dreamer Press. I found it invaluable when swapping my Allison V12 into a BMW Isetta frame. It's a very expensive book, but well worth it.

Hey Propwash, Tell us how you really feel! No, it's not "traditional" to swap a late frame under an early car. Sorry for the inconvenience!!

But, in the hot rodder spirit, ya gotta work with whacha got. An I ain't got alot. I've got to get my PU on the road first, but, as most of us (you) do, you're always looking for the next project.

You gotta remember, guys.....I'm in North Carolina.....you know, the RUST BELT!?!?!?!

From the road, it looks pretty weathered (or someone has been doing alot of bodywork with multiple layers of contrasting primer). Looks like a gray and black calico cat! Chances are pretty good that the underside is toast if it's been outside for any period of time. Just looking for options.

Anyway, according to the couple of responses, there are no viable options for swaps.

Sorry for wasting your time, I'll just step back and lurk for a while.

    Signing off!

From the sound of, you haven't been close enough to the car to begin to evaluate the ch***is and the viability of a swap. What kind of condition IS the body in? Rusty floors? Rusty rockers? Which style is it for sure? If it's a Cosmo, it's totally unique; if its a "Baby Linc" the body from the cowl back and the portion of the ch***is under the body is nearly identical to the same year Merc. From the cowl forward it's pure Lincoln-frame and doghouse. You need some "up close and personal" time with the car before making any kind of judgement.

Merc is 118, Lincoln is not. But I would use a 118" wb frame, with a Merc front end! :D Linc is like 121" or some ****.

    I have a 50' Baby Linc 2dr . Best
I can tell measuring it by myself it is 121". I've looking at those lincoln town cars with the front cradle and maybe grafting one of them on it.

there is nothing quick about a frame swap when you start with a car that is so bad it needs a frame
