Got us a day out of school in South Ga...Not flooding here, but our county is 90% dirt roads so the buses struggle. Some parts of FL had more than 20 inches of rain...I hope they got their Henry steel up high Good luck and our prayers out to ya guys in FL....
We are not going to get ours in the panhandle until this weekend. Funny thing, the gulf up here is flat and beautiful and it only started to get cloudy today. I hope that ***** doesn't take a turn and end up over water before it gets here. We could use the rain but I don't need 40 inches of the stuff.
We are starting to dry out a little here in Port Saint Lucie, we got it bad here but not as bad as they are north of us. I guess we got anywhere from 10'' to 18'' from what I understand. My area has pretty good drainage, but friends east of US1 are still under 4-5 feet in places. Good luck and stay safe up there Tyler
I think it changed course and is heading out of florida last i checked it was heading for us in south georgia
One word to describe the rain, here in the Orlando area...relentless! Been windy and raining for 3 days straight, and being a mechanic, I have to be out in it. Could be worse, the eastcoast got serious flooding. Not as bad as a hurricane, should p*** by begining of next week. Lots of tree limbs down all over. Keeping my work phone handy, in case the tree dept. gets a late night breakdown. All part of living in the Sunshine state. Guarenteed to be nice for the Turkey Rod Run.
We are just getting the southern part of it now, it should rain here today and tomorrow. At least we didn't get pounded as bad as some, I heard somewhere got 24" of rain... Ouch.
I watched the water come all the way up to my front door, then the rain stopped and the drains took it back. Way to close I'll take a real hurricane than that. St. Lucie county got it worse the News showed a Mall parkin lot with 1ft of water still after 3 days. Hope yuo guys up north fair OK
i'm in gainesville, and the eye must be right over us,the rain has stopped for now,and we have no wind, its dark as hell. the bad stuff is on the east side of the storm,so the worst is yet to come.
Pretty solid wind and rain here. There is some street flooding around but, if it stays like it is now, we should be ok. We're just pretty tired of hearing about this damn thing. Tomorrow we get back to our usual sunny, hot, rainy pattern. Thanks for asking! Mike
Bruuuuuuuuuce ! The winds are-a-blowing ...... The rains-are-a-pouring........ Did'nt stop some of the Hard-Core-Poor Boys last night that drove to my shop and ate Pizza and discussed more HotRod projects It's been like this for a week now, but it sure beats the hell out of snow storms We Love it here !!!!!!
Besides checking up on everyone, one of the reasons I ask is that our district is next in the rotation to be deployed for emergency relief. Depending on how much damage Fay does will depend on if I come out there for debris cleanup and infrastructure ***essment. As much as I would like to make another trip back I don't want to do it under these cir***stances. So I hope everybody is OK and no real damage occures.
here's a few pics of the water it has actually went down since about 1am. it slacked off and i went a took a couple of pics but its back at it now!
Not too bad here in Port Richey, a little wind and maybe a couple inches of rain. We actually needed it here.
