2b BOB HUBERTY is the new HAMB champeen defeats COWBOY BOB NORRISS with a 12/44 108 did not catch COWBOY BOBS ET MPH WISCONSIN RULES
Rand Man red lit in qualifiing and lost to 2b in the first round. I had him off the line. My flatty coughed at about the 300ft mark. It's funny how you see that thing come up out of the corner of your right eye. Before you know it, they're long gone. Thanks to Brad, who did the crew chief thing today so I could drive. My Son Kyle helped today. Kyle was a big part in getting my car built, and I thank him.
Yes ,we need pix !!! I played in mine in the back alley today ,wishing I was out there racing with you all !!!! So did everyone have FUN ??????
Congrats to 2b and C.B.B 1st and 2nd. You HA/GR guys look like you are having way to much fun. Keep it up.
Hey, just got back to OKC. The Drags were a real hoot! Lots of fun, great cars and people. Kiwi should have pics posted soon, one of us should let you know the link.
Year one, the Hornet, 261 chevy 6, Year two, the Rams, flathead, Year three, the Speed Merchants, flathead, and these were the first to race a H.A.G.R the first year, then Year four, the crooked 6, slant 6 225 and this year another flathead, 2B.
Mudflap, I think that you are right, that was the fall race, when Mr Mac handed bob the jar of dead hornets, My mistake. That was the one that was on you tube, the side by side race.
Mudflap, I think this is the race that I mistaked for the H.A.M.B. race, this is the one where the camera is on the hornet, aimed at the Rams car, with Mr Mac at the wheel. HA/GR side view of the ramrod hole shot on you tube. And good job 2b.
My car took high gear out on the second run but on the first run I got sideways and had to back off only went 74.37 in the 1/8th but it really came alive and turned 109.70. I have some movies of 2B and Cowboy Bob racing. Cowboy Bob stayed with 2B all the way until about the last 100 yds and then I think Cowboy ran out of rpm because 2B shot ahead by 2 car lengths. I tell you guys that 2B is the real thing he is a real pro at this racing stuff and even if you have him in mph and et he will serve you up on a platter if you blink. Congrates to him and Cowboy Bob, two of the nicest people on the earth.Roy
i cant post more then one pic [they may end up published] but ill post this one... congrats to bob!!!! see you guys in 3 weeks for the breeder ha/gr ch***is build!!!!
Thanks for all the congrats! It really started out as a struggle, first 2 runs were in 13's with car falling flat right after launch. Starting trying everything & thought it might be the rear carb. I messed with it a bunch & finally changed the needle & seat, it came to life. I thank everyone who helped out with advice, helps make you think more. As I grew up in a little town in WI. I dreamed & dreamed of having a dragster, well thanks to Hamb I have one. It only took 50 yrs. is all. Really was a thrill to win this, no matter what comes after, I will always remember it. I race Cowboy Bob alot & we both never tried harder. These cars are very close & 1 little mistake its over. It was a excellent time all around. C'boy's time on last run was 12.74 @ 101.24 mph. Also congrats to the Hornets (2005 world ha/gr champs) with Bob Hindman at the wheel winning the Outlaw ha/gr cl***.
sure thing bob! i have a few more, but i cant post them yet! are you gonna be around when we build my ch***is?????
I just got home and wanted to add my congratulations Bob. I had a blast with the slowest car there, I guess I'm gonna have to learn to tune mine for the al***ude. Robert
