Hi, We are from Australia and heard the above is a great show. We were at Viva Las Vegas this year and thought we'd try something different next year. I can't seem to find much information on it. Can anybody tell me what the dates are for 2009 and send me any other helpful info. Thanks a lot.
A quote from Hotrodron at his 1st round-up, "This makes Vegas look like a high school show!" I don't think that you will be disappointed if you come. jerry
Awesome show! I have done it twice, and I can assure you that it definitively was worth the trip from Norway! For some inspiration check out some of the photos i took here: http://83.168.206.217/ocp/skin/ajax/kustomramagv2/ebookkustomramag.php?bookNo=080515232904
I've already told a friend of mine if he gets married on the Roundup weekend, I won't be there... I had to miss this year's due to a wedding..
I agree you wont regret it. My wife is even hooked on it. We will be back in '09 for sure, will be my 3rd time and my wife's 2nd time, it is the ultimate in my opinion, people, cars, vendors, the swap meet was great as well. will
The wife and I have been to all of them and the only regret we have is the couple of years my G-ride didn't make it, but we still had a blast as spectators.
I went to my first Vegas show last year, the week after the Round-Up. I was dissappointed in the car show, but enjoyed the rest of VLV. I've been to almost every Round-Up and got used to the cars and the scene, so I thought VLV/Shifters show was going to blow the Round-Up away, but I was dead wrong. I realized 5 minutes into being at the Shifters car show that the Round Up was 1000 times better. I'm going back to VLV next year, but I don't think I'll spend more than 20 minutes at the car show, just enough to catch the 10% of cool cars that attend. VLV is all about who's cooler than who. The Lonestar Rod & Kustom Round Up is all about the cars and the atmosphere.

my family and I hope to attend as well, and scope out the living situation in hopes we can get the hell oput of here.
Well, I guess that must be why I couldn't find you. I was hoping to get a good look at your '38. I'll check it out at the Day of the Drags if you go (I think that's where I first saw the car), or at next years's Roundup. Cad75...you will not be disappointed. I'm really thankful that it is only an hour or so away from me. Slonaker
The dates are April 17-19th, 2009 and yeah - you can always get lots of info, photos, articles, etc. at http://www.lonestarroundup.com/ heck, just search here on the HAMB, Google, Flickr and Youtube and you'll get lots of results - you should have no problem getting info online. We've had quite a few Aussie's coming out to visit us the last few years - seem to get along with us Texans real well - hope you can make it out, and we promise to make it a visit worth the time and effort to get here... hey and welcome to the HAMB while you're at it - be sure and introduce yourself now that you've signed up. and thanks alot to everyone posting up their recommendation on the show - for all the work it is putting it on every year, it sure is great to hear all this positive feedback - really keeps us going...
I went to LSR ,then the Tuesday after that, I went to VLV. I met some cool folks in Vegas. Won't go back to VLV again. Won't miss another LSR.
