Left Joplin, MO at about 8:15am this morning and rolled into Livonia, MI at 11:15pm local time. 14 hours driving time, 1 hour time change. Arrived safely with no issues.

Since there were LOTS of issues with LOTS of folks cars while on the way to the Drags this weekend, and while there, I'd like to hear when others make it home safe, especially those that had troubles over the weekend.

We heard from Jerry and Steve tonight who have already stopped in New Mexico for the night. The Omaha crew made it home already. BobK had a ways to go on a parking lot replaced wheel bearing. I'd like to hear that he got home OK.

I already read that Kerry made it home safe with a borrowed truck and trailer. Thanks good news.

Sound off if you're home safe and sound.

Don Weber lent me his truck and trailer, so I got home ok.

  3. Denise, glad that you and most others are back in their barns. There was a ton of carnage this year. I had to drive back Sat. night in the stupid rental minivan. YUCK.

Julie and I looked for straglers on the way home to lend a hand and I can say that the road was clear of carnage as fas as Mid Missouri. Keith (BinderRod)

Glad to hear sweetie. It was GREAT seeing you again. Looking forward to HCPU in OCT.

Next year you'll have to make sure you stay for the whole weekend. The Saturday night parking lot action is a blast. THANKS for handling the Silent Auction. It wouldn't take place without ya and everyone appreciates all your effort!

    Drove back Saturday night.

Dad's five-window made it home without any mishaps.

Drove straight back (135 miles) and made home in time to tuck my four-year old daughter in bed.

Good to see you again Denise!!!

I have been to about 5 Pileups all without Big Olds. It IS possible to attend a car event without your ride and still have a GREAT time. Give it some thought. It's YOU your friends want to see, not your car......we've all seen it. :D

Good to hear people makin it home ok. As was mentioned, lot of carnage this year, wheel bearings, water pumps, radiators, transmissions, rearends, etc. Good to know cars and more importantly people are home safe.

I can vouch for this. We keep going to these events and I haven't driven anything cool yet. (see my signature) Omar the red Jetta delivered us to Mansfield safely and cheaply, even if it was a fairly boring drive. Didn't see any broken HAMBers along the way.

Denise, great seeing you again and I'm glad you made it home safely.

Enid crew home safe and sound. Good to see you again Denise, even for a couple minutes.

  21. I left at 4:30pm today on a trailer. My buddy drove down from Sedalia today, and picked me up, he left at 1:00pm. I was the only car in the parking lot after 3:30pm. We made it home about 8:30 pm. After all the spark plug problems we had, it was running good coming back from the track, then the alternator froze up, and blew the belt off. I still had a great weekend. Dean

Yep... We made it back around 3:30 today. My clutch barely works, but we made it! I still feel bad for Gary (hot-rod Roadster), he had a tough weekend.

The past 9 days has been a blur, but it was a blast - certainly a trip I will never forget! Thanks, you two. :)
