HAMBer and good friend Roger Scott came by to show off the Chevy he built for his wife and it is sweet......Lucky gal......Comments are welcome.
LOVE the car! The stance, and two tone are PERFECT! Not too fond of the yellow/gold D) though..kinda take's away from the clean look it has..but that's only my thought's..which don't mean much Nice car though! Tony
If you look at the 3rd pic you can see a spot on the gold right under the wing vent. I think that is how the entire trim is supposed to look. Nice Ride!!! Hey Royal maybe you could share the new camera with Lancaster. LOL>>>>.
What you can't see is the two metalic gold stripes on the wheels and the brown stripe from the fender color around ther metalic gold which pulls it together.
get rid of the gold, yellow or whatever it is and you have a nice car...I feel like a moth and I am drawn straight to the stripe...
Me too, love the car, but ain't feelin' the gold, should have left it body color, or even fender color, but the gold just doesn't make it. Unless it's your crappy camera.
I really hate to bag on someone elses car, but you asked for comments. 1 the door doesn't fit, 2 the yellow/gold sucks 3 the taillights suck, 4 the front wheels don't look to be centered in the wheel openings. Other than that it's ok. Dean
Lose the yellow "stripes" and I'd like it more if it had bumpers. If the Mrs likes it, that's all that matters. Dave
alot of bagging on this one i don,t throw rocks at anybody car to me this is a clean driver sits right and all color choice to each his own as far as the door gaps simple fix to that and no need to point it out it is what it is guys nothing more thanxs for sharing royal i likey.sledge.
The guy built it for his Wife. How many of you have built a car specifically for your Wife or S.O.??? If SHE loves the car isn't that what REALLY matters?
Cool old car, & bet that gold pops in person and makes it work. Bright & heavy metallic accent colors are funny that way and usually don't convey well on film. Does the gold insert have any body or fender color striping?
You're exactly right. The brown surrounds it plus the metalic gold is repeated on the wheels which pulls it all together.
I'd drive it! Shortly thereafter I would put the hood sides on and paint the metallic gold accent the same color as the fenders...but maybe his wife wanted it that way. I like how it sits...
