I just talked to one of the guys and gave him the name of a model A place in Denver. Also to call me if they needed tools etc.

The Model A U-joint fits 28-48 Ford Passenger cars except 37-40 V8-60 and fits 28-41 Ford Pickups except 37-40 V8-60.

Steves Model A Parts in Denver should have the part. I dont have the number...

 

There isnt really anything but a tire shop in Byers, but a few miles further west is Strasburg and there is a pretty good Napa. Then its about 25 miles till you get into Denver.

Just got home from HAMB Drags, I saw this crew cruzin toward Kansas.

Curious as to what the specific part was that they needed.
"Front u-joint bearing" doesn't compute too well.

Was it the driveshaft front roller bearing/sleeve in the nose of the torque tube or the ballbearing in the back end of the transmission?

 

It was the bearing in the front of the torque tube. He also had a cracked fan pully on his flathead which we had to weld.

waspmaj = Tom with the primered model A. I live here in Byers also, and am good friends with Craig.
He had a bit of a disapointment here on the HAMB a year or so ago and is a little put off over it.

thank you eric tom and craig from the angry frenchman talk to him and he wanted me to post this they are in kansas now.

 

The 'boys left Abilene KS around 7:30am and are back on the road heading East.

It was great to finally meet them.
