Here is the exhaust I fabbed up using 4 J bends, it was a real ***** getting around the z bar, I still have to flatten to flatten one end of the back pipe to get the clearance I need. It does not sound too bad it is kinda loud, not much quieter than straight pipes but at least it has mufflers! I may go and add a crossover pipe, that should help quitet it doun a bit.

Nice bricks. Are you going to have some kind of a crossover - ala H pipe?

Looks very similar to mine. I am running a pair of 18" Cherry Bombs and it sounds like pissed of bees. Loud and poppy.

Yeah I'm looking at a h pipe the bolt together so I can remove either pipe if need be.
Yeah I'm going to town in a few minutes to get the rest of the hardware to finish the hangers.
I agree with the "pisses off bee's" sound. I do not think that the 18" 2 1/4" summit gl*** packs muffle at all:D, but the wife like it and it is her car.
Here is a short video of her car last night, I still have to work on some tuning issues but hey it runs!

Sounds good. Might be a little annoying on the highway though.

Which way do you have the mufflers? Might be able to spin them if they ever get too annoying. An H will definitely help smooth it out even if it doesn't quiet it too much. Will definitely help with the unequal lengths and bends.

Sounds just like mine. You wont mind it on the highway once you are at cruising speed and dont have the right foot down. They quiet down a bit...Stovebolt headers?

YUP stovebolt header offy intake and a 390 Holly, 2.41 78 El Camino 7.5" rear Saginaw 3 speed, soon to be swapped out for a three ring (3.5 first gear) Saginaw four speed. The headers would be a breeze for a floor shift auto, but not a stick shift car. I was foing to put a T-5 in it but do not want to have re do the exhaust for the hydo cluch ( I have a complete CAMARO set up that came out of a friends 67 Nova).
