Hello Guys, this is my first post. The last month I see the Hawaiian Dragster in a event calling "Velocita" at turin, Italia. Here some photos of the Hawaiian. Sorry for my English. Saluti
Wow. I saw that car run at the Woodburn(Oregon) Dragstrip when I was a kid. And now it's in Italy? The mind boggles. It's also cool to find out that there is a HAMBer in Italy! Welcome!
Nice pics.....love all the Hawaiian cars, esp, the funnies. That and the Chi-Town Hustler. My 2 favs. Roland Leong always seemed to have a hand with all the coolest cars.... Never seen Daisies like that......gotta be RARE.
i read something recently , that fiat ( think that was who it was...)bought the car in 67 or 68...and its been over there ever since....brandon
Hey welcome Capochi! Thanks for sharing these pictures. It's really cool that the car has been left as it was, what a priceless time capsule!
The Hawaiian is property of the "Museo del' Automobile di Turin". Perhaps is the only Dragster in Italy. Grazie, Gracias, Thanks for the comments.
Great pics of a beautiful car. Thanks for posting them. Don't apologize for your english. It's a hell of a lot better than my Italian!
Great pictures thanks, man. Show us more pictures of the cars in Italy, I know there is a whole bunch of cool stuff there.
Welcome Capochi - thanks for the photos and update on one of my all time favorite dragsters. Who would have thought that it woul be spending its time in Italy for the last 40 years! The world is, indeed, a very small place.
Very cool, I wondered where that car went. It seems that the really famous cars never just disappear....it's great to see it preserved. Thanks!!
Hey, you don't have to apologize for your English... there are several people on here that were actually born in America, and their English is WAY worse off. If you need help with English, this is a great place to practice! There's also http://babelfish.yahoo.com/ in a pinch! ~Jason
It's cool that it ended up there. It appears to have been repainted; the original color was sky blue Metalflake as shown here in a 1965 snapshot the the Nationals in Indy.
Glad to see it's being appreciated. If only Italy could hear and see it run... you'd piss your pants. Welcome aboard the HAMB. Sam
Check out the front end, looks like one of the radius rods has been torn off on the R/H side and the steering arm off the L/H wheel is bracketed to the radius rod bracket on the axle. Wonder he they know the true value of this incredible piece of history.
Capochi Grazie per la compartecipazione delle vostre foto con noi e dia il benvenuto a al luogo Grazie Vince I hope my Italian is as good as your English ?
