Here are some photos. I am sooooo excited to get it on the road. I have channeled it, re-vamped the frame from the master cylinder back, molded in a set of roadster windshield pillars, patch panels, narrowed the s-10 seat, converted it to cross steering (Vega box), new floor, new firewall. Now I have to chop the grille shell and radiator, lower the headlights, install a new dash, install my steering column, wire everything... I better stop typing this list of stuff that needs to get done before I get depressed [IMG]

Wow! Looks good. You may want to check the clearance or vertical line of the U-bolts on the rear spring to make sure they will clear your rear diff. Mine looks very similar to yours and I found out that when fully compressed those bolts will punch a hole clean through a dana44 cover. I was lucky the ring gear wasn't damaged, but learned my lesson. Thought I'd p*** it on. Great work, get that bad boy on the road!

The U-bolts miss the pumpkin by almost an inch... well it's more like a half-inch. But the thing is that they miss the rear end and that's all that really matters, right? I actually moved the rear crossmember back about two inches to ensure that it clears. Before the setup ****ed and the U-bolts were installed upside-down. But all of thet got fixed when the frame was kicked up in the back (and everything was narrowed so that it would fit between the sub-rails. That way I could keep as much of the sub-rails as possible to keep the body solid).

Good job. I wish I'd thought of that because my U-bolts are upside down now. Keep up the good work.

Rear kick-up is 4-1/2 inches. The body has been channeled 4-inches and the rear springs are behind the axle with the perch mounted directly in the center of the rear axle housing (when measured vertically).

i'm collecting parts for one right now, a '29 sport coupe', have the body, deck lid, cowl, ladder bars, rails(32), flathead motor, patch panels, an old school bus seat, '61 chrysler steerin' wheel the oval kind, and an old microphone for a shift knob(i stole the idea from bob bleed) ... you've given me inspiration to keep goin,... nice job!

Hey Nic, I have some left-overs (like the windshield frame and other random parts) if you need anything, just lemme know and I'll dig through my garage and let you know what I can come up with.

  29. Looks most excellent and like a fun runner... but that grille shell, man-o-man... chop about 6" out of it so it sits about 2" lower than the cowl and you'll be golden. Unless it's a statement of sorts.

Looks like it will also have plenty of leg room... are those bodies a tad longer than the roadsters inside?

    Sam.
