Put shortly, the Tardels and Cochrans came to their senses. Faced with no other date that we can actually have the show other than the same day as Billetproof, we have decided to cancel the Revolution.

Sorry to you that made plans, but I know of another show just a short drive away... Enjoy Billetproof.

Is there anything I can do to help it happen on that Sunday? It would make an incredible weekend.

Afraid not... That was really the only day that it could happen due to more variables than I can list.

I don't want it if it was based off that decision. :)

Sorry to see that happen. I enjoyed the show last year. It was much more personable, easy to talk to the owners and the band was cool too.

I was actually thinking of hitting Billetproof and leaving early to get to HRR.

I volunteer to help out in any way next year if you need. Just say the word.

Yea, hope you enjoy your time here. I know last year was weird as it rained a little that day which I can't ever remember happening before. It's always hot as hell and sunny / clear.

Drat! Well, now I know my car will be finished before the next Revolution.

Did I miss whether or not highly collectible show-no show Revolution shirts are available?

    Looking forward to next year.

Maybe a HAMB meet and greet in lieu of the show? I've got family in the area who are expecting me that weekend so I plan to be there anyway.

Some kind of "Not a show" would still be fun.

Hmm, sounds cool to me. I might be into it if I am actually still going to be around that weekend (might need to be in LA now as the wife is re-booking openings in social calendar). I have a office/shop space/art gallery here in Berkeley on San Pablo Ave. Anybody into a small scale gathering / hot rod art show that weekend, maybe just Sunday? I might possibly be convinced to host here at my space if much serious good interest. Not much notice and would really have to get my crap in gear for it, but maybe can just wing it and hope for the best. Start with a couple of people, grill some dogs, shoot some shit over cars and stuff and see what happens.

I have a small gallery with some wall space, a big open shop space (ex-AAMCO shop) and a small side yard off-street parking just off San Pablo Ave. near Gilman in Berkeley. It likely is just pipe dreaming, but anybody into that? Some cool traditional cars, corresponding art, maybe some grub and appropriate liquids, low attitude and max. fun possibly? Ryan, if this does by some miracle happen, you and your buds would of course be welcome if you have time/interest - drop down to Berkeley, stay an hour or 2 and head back over.

Maybe the event could focus on the art of traditional hot rods and customs? Not just a car show and gathering, but the art of it. Whatever that may entail. No judging, awards or any of that crap though and probably no buying or selling stuff, just display only.

I might be able to convince some neighbor vintage car repair/resto types to participate and cough up some vintage exotics (Ryan, hint, hint) and other odd stuff as the area right around here has a few of those types as well.

Hmm, could be an idea worth considering.

  23. Stude Trucks idea sounds great to me, I really dig the area you are in, lots of cool industrial buildings, etc. A buddy of mine has a vintage sports car restoration shop near you.
I'd be there in a heartbeat, could probably scare up a few people from across the bay.

Sounds to me like more people would have rather went to revolution. If it is a show for the people, let the people decide and put it to vote. :)

It's not that we don't want to have the show fellas... It's that we can't have the show. Personal lives and stuff getting in the way.

Trust me, the Revo will be back next year...

We'll have to look forward to next years show then. It's a bummer, as my Girlfriend and I really loved the drive up to it, especially the show, and then back down the coast. I don't want to miss the next one.

cool. thought it would make a better show if it were every 2 years (keeps the anticipation high) the first one felt like there was more energy and the second one seemed to be thrown together in comparision. but what ever you do, please coordinate with the lucky bastards and have it the day before the reliabilty run. legends in the making.

  28. Did you have shirts printed up this year? If so it looks like you may have extras. I'm in for a couple of XL's if you did.
