I like the whole thing, but the way the motor uses up the entire compartment, including right up to the hood line, just looks all business. HOTROD. :)

Awesome ! That X2 intake looks great! Down the road, if you want a little more power re do the headers and make them 4 tube equal length.

Are you running a 4 speed? What year trans & bellhousing?

    Great looking machine !

Pontiac power is a BLAST...the torque will keep the new owner SMILIN'

Just to clarify (and not trying to be a prick), all '63 Pontiac engines (not just Super Duty 421s) used bellhousing-mounted starters.

    Great machine!!

  12. I like the whole car, but really love that engine! I have the same intake and several Poncho motors....just have to decide what to stick it in.

Can you enlighten me(us) on the use of the dual coils and the ignition set up?
    love it!

  16. FWIW, 64 used the bell-mount starter, late '64 blocks can come drilled and tapped for a block mount - I have a '64 motor I pulled that has the ear and has holes in it, not sure if they're tapped or not. But the starter on it is mounted to the bell.
