Strange Drag Pics

I recieved a few pics from a friend of mine who visited this drag strip reciently ..very unique cars can you idenify the track ???

 

Green '37 Chevy coupe advertises Warren Dean Cartage. Google search shows it might be a crane company in New Zealand.

The black FJ ute indicates its either in Australia or New Zealand, I don't recognise the track, its cold, so I'd agree - New Zealand.

 

Yeah, that's cool. Reminds me of the "T'RANTULA" model I had as a kid.

 

Yep, they are N.Z. race cars. If the photos are recent it may be at the opening of a brand new dragstrip at Taupo on Jan 2nd. The nostalgia racing is really taking off over here. My brother is building a nostalgia front engined rail, Chev 409 powered.

 

Sure is NZ, the Pandemonium dragster is run by Nasty Norris and is very cool, I just found I'm out of town when the Nostalgia drags are on next month so are fully bummed out !!!

I'm guessing like Rusell its probably the new strip at Taupo as it doesn't look familiar to me, would have been about 2nd of this month ?

do you guys know shane delaforce of australia with a 57 chevy yellow and black two door wagon race car named killin time? i built it in okla and shipped to him in I think perth and he has sent pics of him running it last year in about aug at a nostalgia race there ..............just curious...

 

It was only cold because there were some Kiwi's over, and they couldn't be telling everyone that it was a great event on a hot day, now could they???

 

The Aussi guys might. L.A. is ****** near closer to New Zealand than Perth. Thats an 8 hour plane flight from Auckland to Perth.

Good thing there aren't stamps with pics of me in the p***engers seat of a door slammer on that road however pics full stop would be nice.
