You also have to remember that this is a manual brake setup. No pwer booster. My 56 special has new wheel cyl. and shoes all the way around. It does stop better than when I got it, but still doen't have the response of a newer system. Just remeber to pump the pedal. no abs. May want to at least find and dual master cyl. if you lose a line now you lose all brakes. Something I need to do also.

I have a 56' Roadie. I was surprised one day when a guy on a bike decided to come off of the shoulder in front of me and when I did a controlled panic stop (white knuckled and gritting my teeth for the carnage about to happen). The roadie locked them up and went into a straight line skid. I was impressed. While it is a drum set-up in a heavy car it is possible to get them to work efficiently. And Scotch King Buzzard...I found the unicorn of sorts. NOS fuel pump from a Chevy truck with the 322. No vaccuum pump on the bottom Yeah!!!!! Here's my 56'.

I am giving her a shave and going to lower her down.My only problem now is finding a rebuild kit for my power steering box. Good purchase on the Buick RockB1. I get even more **** because mine's a mordoor.
