I think you would have a hard time finding anything usable there, unless it's trim. I'm from WV and see that alot there too. Mostly in peoples yards!!!
A thing of beauty, even in that state. If we could come back, say 60 years from now, would we just see the tops of the roofs sticking out of the ground ............... ?
There is a junkyard near me that opened in the teens, and was never crushed out. you go back in the old part of the yard, and there will be 4 old tires sticking out of the ground, with a grassy mount in the middle where the engine was. Nothing is left except bits and pieces.
UPDATE.....The zoneing commission just found out the old man had all these ducked on his property....the order: move em or lose em....he's facing hefty fines as well....see what happens when you get a new neighbor..... im gonna go try and make a deal to haul em out on my rollback....also do a half ass inventory of whats there....i did on this last trip, find a street sweeper that has a running 59 AB in it...!
what post some recent pics those are obvisouly taken in the fall and to me look like they were taken years ago South hills?
Sorry about the bad quality on the pics....they were shot last fall ( 07 )... there are around 80 pieces up there, primarily 40s-50s iron... i'll look for more of the pics...
Even as far gone as they are, it's still fun walking around yards like that. It's just a shame nobody got to em' while they were still buildable.
What do you Mean lottsa good stuff there!!! Look at what this HAMBER built out of some ol chev sheet metal...got my gears turning!!
