Post tooth count and diameter...someone here will know for sure...and edit "flathead " out of ***le so the pushrod geeks will open thread! That one is drilled for Long clutch, but has cast pocket locations for B&B type showing.
Will do ,,someone said maybe 216 chevy What does 'drilled for long clutch mean " and how can you tell that?
It has the pattern for Long pattern (name, not long in length) as used on Fords and many heavy duty applications on heavy/high torque loads. Commonest clutch for racing back when. Borg &Beck was used on many p***enger cars of all makes, used different pattern matching those extra pockets.
It has 139 teeth,, Was reading about early Hemi's running 139 tooth Chevy set up with and 8 bolt crank. Could this be for that and only use 4 holes ? or does it not work like that?
My old 270 GMC that was a 6 volt truck had a four bolt crank flange, but a very co**** tooth ring gear. My later 302 and 270 GMCs had a six bolt crank flange and I think 168 tooth ring gear? Long tine ago. I like the 216 idea.
216's are 6 bolt, 235's too. My guess would be an aftermarket flathead 'wheel that was ordered with one pin hole. other than the missing hole, it looks like one. Or maybe a Ford fourbanger?
Never done a clutch on a flathead. Only newer motors and the pilot bearing pressed into the end of the Crankshaft
