Was on my way home from my wife's annual Labor Day get-to-gether and realized I have been a ton of places and accomplished a lot in the last 3 months so here goes.

-Weekend before Memorial Day was MSRA's Spring Camp Out in Fairmont, Mn
-Of course Back to the 50's weekend in St Paul (June)
-4th of July in Pierre, SD (July)
-Jamaica with the wife for 2nd honeymoon. (July)
    -Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis (July)
-Grandmother's funeral in South Dakota. (August)
-Wedding in Sioux Falls, SD (August)
-Wedding in Bird Island, MN (August)
-Family get together in Fergus Falls, Mn (August)

I did accomplish things on the 57 Pontiac: Put new front floors in, patched a lot of fire wall and floor holes, located and installed the correct rear backing plates (rear), bought a lot of the nickel and dime parts that coast you 3k at the end of a build...... The list goes on and on... Of course I feel like I could have done a lot more or been more places but sweet summer only lasts so long around here. So, what did you do?????

i didn't drive any of my cars, never finished my 50 international p/u, didn't even attend not asingle car show, didn't even have a 50th b'day blowout with all my buddies, but i spent the summer coaching my sons little league team, and took them all the way to the little league world series, in williamsport PA. it was the best summer i ever had! i promise you this, i'll be out cruisin' in the ol' 50 ihc in the spring!

I finished my T Bucket and got her legal Memorial Day weekend. I've driven her all summer with minimal problems. She's my first hot rod and after surviving a panic moment that had thoughts of selling her, things are back to normal and I look forward to driving the damn wheels off of her the rest of the year.

To Bonneville and back to western PA in a 29 Ford Tub...which included stops at the Motorcycle Museum in Columbus and the AFB Museum in Dayton, OH, INDY Speedway and Museum, a visit to numerous shops on Gasoline Alley, Speedway Motors Museum, Knoxville Sprint Car Hall Of Fame Museum, and great visits with fellow HAMBERs Bubba and Wayne.

I didn't travel much. I did sleep a lot on my summer '08, typically 12 hours a night, rolled out of bed and lift weights or go work on one of the cars. I did a ton of work on the Jeep, tons of body work, got it running, exhaust ran, accessorys in, brake lines. Now summers over and school started, and the projects will slow down a lot.

Now wait a minute....you did that 4-door to two door conversion in a week? I see it still needs a little work around the rear side window but hell that is really nice work.....and who cares if that Camaro is off topic....it looks DAMN GOOD.

For me, it was to be the summer I was going to get my car back on the road. Didn't happen. Just removed more from it. I did check out some shows though. By far the most fun was the Cinematic!!! Met some cool folks and saw some rides that were most choice! HAMBers really know how to get IT done. Most recently, as in just this past Thursday, I purchased a stellar 27 T roadster from a fellow HAMBer down the road. I LOVE YOU GUYS AND I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Thanks to Ryan for giving us all a cyber-garage to shoot the breeze!

    thanks!

well.i brought it home last saturday, but didnt get started on it till last sunday all day, andi worked on it monday most of the night,,but had to wait untill saturday till i got all the bees killed in the parts car to get the quarters for it,,
so i started early sat morning and worked on it all day saturday and sunday...so i guess thats a week :D.

.like you pointed out i still need a bunch of work around the rear window opening,,,

but back to the the quarter replacement ,while it was a lot of work,it was actually easier than it looks..took more time triming the part than anything..

and thanks on the complimants on the camaro!!!:D

After 15 years in the garage, got my 64 Fairlane 500 stationwagon on the road. I try to drive it a few times a week. Won a trophy at my first show. Love all the comments I get everywhere I go. I wish I had gotten it running years ago. I plan to drive it all through the fall and to the All Ford event at Englishtown.

Sam is right, got a few more weeks before the summer ends, and usually some good cruising until atleast the end of October... in Michigan that is.

I drove my truck alot this year, but was unable to make any big, out of state events. Lots of family stuff going on this summer, kinda kept me grounded.

I did get a new powertrain for my next project, 401 nailhead, 400 trans. I bought a car for the drivetrain and front drums, and s****ped the rest, wasnt worth trying to save.

I think the most fun I had was the usual, hanging out with friends, cruising the hell out of our rides, and partying like rock stars...hahaha
