so i did a little research on frenching in your headlights but didnt find to much still need some help. Are any kits worth it at all saw this on night prowlers any good or is there a better way ive never done it so any advise would really help ill be back on later
Hey, The Night Prowler kits arn't a bad way to go "if" you like that look. If you wind up going the 'build it yourself route' I wouldn't recommend using a oem stainless steel headlamp door. Go with a carbon steel one instead, as stainless steel in contact with carbon steel will soon start to rust because of the nickle in the stainless. Also, don't go with the filler only over the door, as even with the "Kitty Hair" filler, over time will crack. A full weld with little or no filler is best for no troubles in the future with rust. What kind of car do you want to put them on? I saw that kit mounted on a '51 Chevy and it was okay but too blunt for the front edge of the fenders. That could be fixed by extending them out a bit and then reshaping the outside leading edge, but I'm guessing if you wanted that much work you wouldn't want a kit, right? The '52 Mercury rims and bezels (also available from Night Prowlers) will do you fine, as long as you mount your headlight buckets from the inside of the fender before welding those rims on! There are threads on this topic on the HAMB.
i know i looked a little on it do you put the merc rims and bezels backwards its going on a 53 lincoln i dont mind the kit but i heard some of the kits really look like **** anyone got picture of this kit on there car
