Don't know if any Texas HAMB-er's know about this place, looks like there might be a few savable cars, and parts- www.bjackm1.4t.com Don't know the first thing about the owner, or any of the cars, I was just surfing another site and ran across this.
man, how cool would it be to take one of those shoebox fords with the perfect rust brown patina and get it running again? b
I don't even know where Comanche, TX is, but I'll bet Austin is a helluva lot closer than I am, in Northern CA.... There look to be quite a few savable cars there... perhaps some local HAMB-er can get down there and have a look-see...If the prices are reasonable, it might end up being a good score for a lot of folks on here...
You can find a ton of old cars around the area. It's mostly old farms. I found Bellm a 30 decklid being used as a gate on a goat pen. Not much rust either. My mother has a farm about 35 miles from Comanche. I'll have my brother-in-law check them out. We found a 1919? touring in a revene on our place. Have no idea how it got there. The family has owned the farm for years. TP
I've met some of those old folks out that way who had seen too much TV or read to much Robb Report because their prices were a bit inflated. Kinda makes me wonder since the people with that site have so many cars still available. If you getting an good news TP, let a brother know. I saw a couple of things in there that looked fun if they were the right price. But from what I understand about the rattler population out that way, a man better buy himself a ****oose if he's gonna go parts huntin'.
My thoughts exactly... I figured I would be wearing hip waders to go walking around up there... You could get a new project AND the beginnings of a new pair of cowboy boots...
Yeah, I'm from stephenville. I'd like to check it out, too. All I see is arrowheads and chickens. That's not the kind of barn find I'm looking for.
