    Yes, it's sold, so now I wait for the check and then it off to Sweden, Had lots of questions but now I will have some $ to play with. I have a free 53 chevy 210 comming next, hope to make a mild custom out of it, I think I will put my 354 Hemi in it too, should pullit down the road ok.
    I will be a little sad to see the coupe leave, been working on it each winter for 5 years, and just this summer got to drive it, I was happy to have driven it down to the World of Wheels in St Paul this Jan in -20 deg temps, Thanks Tuck for asking me to bring it. well I need the extra stall for a bit to tear the trans out of my Motorbike to fix the shift spring and need the room to work.
    Is there any thing I should know or do before shipping a car overseas?
    I want this to go well and have no problems....

    Shipping is never the problem overseas, its the paperwork. I would suggest calling the Swedish Emb***y in DC to get the necessary do***ents. they have always been helpful to us.

    You shouldn't have to do anything to tship the car overseas. The buyer should take responsibility for all the paperwork involved. When I sold the '34 it went to Denmark. The buyer handled all of it.

    I agree, when I sold my shoebox it went to Australia and I didn't have to handle any paperwork.

    Getting it to the docks is the problem, shipping overseas os a cake walk, just get a good broker, they do this stuff all day long.

  6. My partner and I have sent Three cars overseas, one each to Finland, New Zealand, and France. Each time a carrier showed up, loaded the car and split, not another word was heard.

    What are we gonna do when we send all our old iron across the pond ????

    We will buy them back when the dollar is strong and the Euro is weak, just like they are doing.

    Just recieved the word that they are picking the car up on tuesday, one more chance for a drive, then I have an empty stall to fill, think I will catch up on so repairs before I bring the next one home.
    Yea, Hemi's are great looking, maybe I'll build a clear hood!

    They came and picked it up tuesday, took it for a little spin on the freeway-punched it, man with those 2.79 gears sure can fly, and now there is a couple of black tire streaks in front of my house.{burnout}
    I was talking to the driver about shipping and he came in a newer F150 and tilt trailer, and he says that it's all 3 are being put on a truck and shipped to Europe plus about 5 motorcycles(japanese). he gets the same $ shipping a car as a bike.
    Oh, I did do a wire transfer
