    Geeezzzzzzz,

I don't know whats happening here lately, when I am looking for them I can't find them, when I quit looking they are falling out of the sky at me !,..
it's actually getting kind of embarrassing.

I just brought home a 1935 Ford coupe a few weeks ago that was in a garage for the last 27 years untouched, I cleaned it up and out, then put the fenders and boards back on it, changed the front and rear axle, then decided I would take it over to the barn for safe keeping,.....

So Sunday afternoon (after Church) my son Kory and I are loading it up on the trailer,..... as we were checking the bindings and making sure everything was secure,.. theres this guy across the street at the neighbors garage sale standing there watching us. finally he comes over and asks "is that a 1939 Ford ?",.... I told him no its a 35,..... he says My Dad has a 39 Ford Coupe he wants to sell,.... and he gives me his number.:D:D

Monday afternoon I call the number and ask to talk to the gentleman, and told him his son mentioned he might have a 1939 ford coupe for sale,... the fellow said No I'm sorry I don't,..... as I am saying sorry to bother you he says I DO have a 36 5/W I would like to sell but it's kinda rough.

I went over and looked at it, he owned it sence 1954 and a neighbor helped him re do it in the 70's, 289/C-6, 8" ford rear end and just a hint of what was left of the candy apple red paint job. He was sorry that the front cross member was hacked up on it so he would throw in the 37 Ford tudor that was behind the barn  (the 37 is really just a parts car but that was a really cool toss in, huh ?) anyway I drug it home today.

Below are pictures of the 35 the way the guys son seen it,... and then the 36,...... keep looking guys,...... ya' never know.

Heres the 35 that he had seen,...[IMG]

    And here's the 36,............

Awesome. Best kept secret in this business when it comes to finding old tin is to drive around with an old Model A or something on your trailer. People always say, " I know where there's another one of those."

The same thing happened to me when I found these three. At least we're getting them back in circulation instead of wasting away.

Personally I hope he finds about a dozen more. Maybe then he won't have any more room to store that '34 3w he drug home awhile ago. I ALMOST owned it once maybe my time is coming back around.:cool::D

  13. Shit, I wish there were some BARNS here in the urban sprawl we call the OC

Actually there are some barns in the rich folk neighborhoods and all they got are million dollar horses in them.

Pretty crazy. The only barn I know of within driving distance that has anything good in it is owned by a show-car builder in Lititz. The weather and salt here just don't let old steel survive :-/.

Sorry Frank,.... I just got a good deal on some "Harbor Fright" blue poly tarps and bungee cords,... so I can keep the 34 outside this winter,....:eek::rolleyes::rolleyes::D:D:D,.... naaah, I wouldn't do that, but unfortunately the 46 coupe will be the Eskimo this year,..... just hope nothing else comes up any time to soon.

( Would you believe that while I had the 36 at the car wash (*to blow all the leaves and pine needles and stuff off the coupe*) a guy tells me he wanted me to come over and look at a 1940 Ford 1/2 ton, and a 1937 Thames sedan delivery !)

    Hey 8-Ball,
No I cant make it to Frankenmuth or K-Zoo this year, my wife, my sister and my brother-in-law are kidnapping me to Branson Mo.,..... anybody know of any old cars down there for sale ? :D:D:D

And to The 37 Kid , who asked, "Is it possible to take a group photo of all the cars you've found in the past 5 years?",.. the answer is NO,..... I would actually be afraid to see it myself.
