Well, I'm finally in Colorado! What to do?

Well, I'm starting to settle in now that I moved most of my crap to Colorado. I have a great job working with the wonderful guys at Custom Auto. I miss Lou and the guys at The Old Stillwater Garage. I still have a bajillion boxes to unpack, and I have some parts and 5 cars still in NJ, but I have a house of my own that was built in '55, and was renovated, but still looks old style. I drove the Edselero here, what a trip that was!

Anyway, what kind of car stuff is going on around here? I know that summer is about shot in the ass, but I have only found one cruise night so far. I missed the Backstreet Kustom's show last weekend, which sucks, but there's always next year! Are there any good shows left this year?

Hey welcome to Colorado!! I know there's some kool shows coming up in Denver I will keep ya posted!

 

This Saturday is the Golden (town of...) cruise if you want to make the trip down...usually about 400-700 cars show up for that...starts in the afternoon, goes til everyone goes home...

Also this weekend is the North Platte (NE) event - "Colonel Cody's Cruise"...if you're up for a 250 mile jaunt...

Sept 13th is the "Carnage on Larimer" event in downtown Denver...don't know much about that one tho...

Plus local cruises...I'm sure there's one or two up thataway too...

Welcome to Colorado, so your working for "Super Dave". He always has some pretty cool project going. Dustin & Jake are cool, you'll have a good time in Lovleyland for sure. Not really car related but this saturday in Ft. Collins is New Belgiums Brewing Company's "Tour De Fat". It's like Mardi Gras on bicycles, gets pretty crazy,thousands of bikes along with beer, music, & some nudity, shit man, other than cars, you can't go wrong.

 

You missed most of the bigger happenings here in Northern Co.But there always seems to be something out there.And welcome from another Northern hamber.

This Sat is Coy's swap meet at bandimere.
And there is a little show at the front range airport,cars/motorcycles/airplanes!

Here is a run down of what i know is happening this weekend.
Saturday: Coys Swap meet at Bandimere Speedway, Saturday night is
"The Super Cruize" in Golden and Sunday has all Ford car show at Clement Park i dont know if is Lakewood or Littleton. Aswap meet at Larimer Cty Fairground in a couple weeks, Garage sale @ Streamline Hot rod Parts on the 14th of this month.
Thats all i know about.

 

Bandemere, saturday morning for the swap meet. Super cruise is in Golden, CO. saturday night. Car show in Pueblo on saturday, and Canon City on sunday.

 

BTW, Vaphead, you should see how well my deuce frame is coming together. Your parts fit perfectly. Thanks again.

Your ranchero looks awesome!You got to stop by Streemline at 8 th and Kalimeth st in Denver on the 14 of this month.I live in Thornton (north of Denver)I have a kustom Airflow give me a holler ,we can get together and BS custom cars.The Golden super cruz is awesome also. Everything under the sun shows up there.

Boy, you can tell I was half asleep on my last post. WELCOME TO COLORADO.

 

First thing ya gotta do is go to the local liquor store and pick up some of that killer micro brew here. Kick back and enjoy a few awesome sunsets over the mountains. Thats how I enjoyed my first few days of relocation from AZ.

Glad you're here, I bet the Edselero cruise with no overdrive was a dream come true ! Missed you at the Concours and Paint & Primer last weekend but I know are a busy boy with the move.

Plenty do in Colorado, lots of it seasonal (most of it in my country), will keep you posted as things come up. Laura and I get to the front range quite often for events.

Don't forget to ask Jake for a "Yenny Roadster" shirt when the time is right. Make sure you do it in front of Rex.

Thanks, Guys! I love it out here! The weather, the people, the cars............ I think I'm going to try and make the super cruise. It's not too far, since I haven't found an overdrive solenoid for the Edselero yet, I can cruise down in third gear! Hopefully I will get to meet some of you.
