I was hoping to maintain the ultra shave, but from a practical (and safety) perspective; I can't see squat. Other than a four inch peep mirror (boring), what are some you guys running on your customs? Here's the victim....

I've been thinking about dummy spots for my 27 CCPU project. The pointy end goes into the wind and the fake lens would be replaced with a convex mirror. I hope I can find mirrors to fit. Gary

How much style can a mirror have any way? A temporary mirror mounted on a stout magnet with a rubberized base or a mirror temporarily clipped to the edge of the vent window then placed in a nice Crown Royal velvet bag and placed under the seat or in the glove box will look way better.

My wife found a suction cup mirror that I stick on my wing window. I take it off at shows and it works great. I think it was for looking at kids in the back seat. I will take pics of it if you want.

i used to use a (suction cup) stick on mirror on the inside of the windshield, close to the a pillar. they sell 'em in the car seat aisle. it's a rectangular convex mirror, for keeping an eye on the kids in the backseat...

  9. I rely on a rearview camera. It has a wide angle lens and infra-red for night time use. It was around $20. It displays on my radio.

More details, please! $20?? How does it hook up, and what would be the best way to set up a display if you don't have a radio?

I finally put a stock '50 Ford side mirror on my shoebox, hated to drill the holes, but much easier to drive!

I saw this mirror on a Dark Green Merc in Paso last year "Poison Ivy" featured on the cover of Rod & Custom last year some time. I asked the owner/builder what it was off of (a Cobra) I'm not much of a fan of those Ford/Shelby Cobra's, but the bullet shaped mirror was very cool. Especially if you are not running Dummy Spot's or Appletons.
If I can find the issue I will message you back!

I started a thread with the same question a few weeks ago beacuse I wanted something on my 54 Chevy. Came up with this from an Olds on eBay for $22, it's in the chrome shop right now... can't wait to mount it.

right now, i've got a peep mirror on my Hudson. I don't like it, it really doesn't do anything to blend with the flow of the car.

I picked up a 53 Olds drivers side mirror. small 4" round mirror, with a really clean and shaped stand. Granted, you'll have to drill a hole to mount it, but it does look a little cleaner than a peep and looks like you gave a bit of thought to design.

I saw somewhere, maybe on this board, someone had a peep but instead of being "(boring)", like mine, it had a custum stem. I was feeling pretty envious when I saw it as I just bought a 3". I'll see if I can locate the pic.
