The Rev-Tones - Good ole fashioned 3 piece Rock-a-Billy. They tore it up last year and had a blast doing it. http://www.myspace.com/revtones The PyroNuats - Ripping surf music garaunteed to set yer hair on fire. http://www.thepyronauts.com/ and headlining...... Dirty Penny - picture Motley Crue circa 1985... now you've got it. Yep its hair metals revenge. Bring the Auquanet and a lighter to wave around. These guys kick ass and love hot rods. Work up yer best Guitar Hero or Rock Band air guitar moves and get ready to have fun. They've played Rocklahoma and are currently out on tour around the country. They're making a special trip to Billetproof. http://www.dirtypennysucks.com/
hehehehee... you can bring it to TorqueFest... think Billetproof for Muscle Cars. Although I dont know if a 78 can legally be called a "muscle car"
Dirty Penny, I hope thats a joke, I hated this shit the first time around in the 80's. Kirk is right, it's so retarded its funny.
Glam Band? That sux! Where are we So~Cal? Here in Nor~Cal we got better taste then this ol glam crap. There making a special stop? Tell them to keep on going! I back Stigma 13 or the Vaudvilles out of the bay.....But again just my opinion.~SPOILER
can i help the band put on their clown make-up before the power ballad? i have to admit that i think i'm going to get some amusement out of a hair band playing. it's so stupid that it's funny. -scott noteboom
I'm sorry but the So called "Dirty Penny" is no Motley Crue 1985!!!! Maybe Motley Crue "theater of Pain" a bad time for crue.... But Motley Crue 1985 the LIVE WIRE years no way!!!!! hahahaha looks like fun tho...PLOWBOY would love to be there...
Not a joke at all. There have been alllll kinds of bands at Billetproof.... punk, pop, country, surf, Traditional Jewish music, Acid Rock, Soul Saving Garage, Rock.... Billetproof has never been a Rock-a-Billy revival, nor will it become one. All types of music are welcome. If glam metal isnt your cup of tea, thats fine. Some people dont like Punk, some dont like country.... on and on. So not every band is going to be a hit with everyone. They are a fun band, they put on a good show, and they are into hot rods. I dont see it as stupid to have them play, no more so than any of the other bands. Its fun music. If you think you're too cool to dig fun music, here is tip, yer not. Practice up your Guitar Hero moves and have fun.
What is the date for Billetproof this year?I went last year and it was a blast. Is it still goin to be at the Antioch Fairgrounds next to the track?
Ha ha ha. You must have to be an afficianado of this to see the difference. But I kind of get it. This is the music that pioneered the "Pay to Play" concept, perfected at the ol' Gazzarri's on the Strip. Maybe they are paying Billitproof to take the bandstand. ha ha ha
Well, i dunno if Dirty Penny can compete with one of my local favorite bands.... STEEL PANTHER!!!! i guess i'll find out when i drive up to Billetproof!
ahhhhhhh Gazzarri's.... the Troubadour.... The Country Club....The RainBow... The Roxy....Waters.... I , sort of, remember them well
Outfuckingstanding! Now if those Chrome Czars would only take note and get Britny Fox to play at the pileup. Chad are you paying attention, I've been saying it for years. Steel Panther Rules! Coop, Ruth, Davey Shuten, and I went and saw them when I was out in LA a month ago. Anyone who was too cool to listen to Metal Back in the day was probably sporting an even more gay Flock of Seagulls hairdo and parachute pants. Dirty Penny are my friends on myspace. Ha ha ha
